Tunica Trip 11/27-11/29

Hello Gambo Buddies!
We took a couple of days off to go see about our friend Jen--kind of an unplanned trip---but those usually turn out really fun and this one did.
We spent Thanksgiving at my Mom's which is 1 1/2 hours TOWARD Tunica , so we left from there that night for Tunica. I could get 2 nights for $100 or 3 nights for $100--so we decided a late arrival Thursday would be good, then we'd have all of Friday & Saturday to be there...

Black Friday was my brother-in-law's birthday. We had all originally planned a family trip to Tunica, but decided that a buddy of mine and I would take him for one night/day instead. So we left at just a bit before 9pm on Thanksgiving and arrived at Hollywood just before mid-night.

Arrived in Tunica on Sunday afternoon late, checked into the Sheraton with no problems. Everyone friendly and helpful.
Went to Harrahs' to catch the Sara Evans concert however when we got there we were told there were no seats because it was an outside concert. Since my father-on-law is 80, his friend is 78 and my back is not to great I knew we could not stand through a whole concert. Instead we opted to go inside to play and eat. Well this is not going to be much of a trip report but though I'd drop a couple of lines about the weekend trip to one of my favorite places.
My husband (Tom) and I hit the road right after work Friday to Tunica. Needed the time away and with a price of $20 for 2 nights at the Terrace we hated to not go...LOL

We stopped in at Bally's first as they had a promo where you swipe your card before 10:00 and you can win up to $2500 free slot play with $5 guaranteed...well...

A Couple Days at Sam's Town

We left home on Friday AM and stayed one night on the road getting to Branson, MO. Stayed there a couple nights. Saw a couple shows (Presley's and Broadway - I particularly enjoy the Hillbilly Jamboree shows there). Quality Inn where we stayed was nice. Had a very large free breakfast. Ate at Landry's Seafood on Saturday night and enjoyed it. Ate at Sadie's Sideboard (a buffet) on Sunday and it gave buffets a bad name.

Sorry this trip report has been so long coming but seems like time has just got away from me. Hopefully, I can remember the highlights and share them with you.

Just got back from Tunica last night on my Jewelry Shopping Event and Harrah's Junket - my first - and last for both, I think - at least the Jewelry Shopping Event. It was a DISASTER, in my opinion. Flight was late leaving Atlanta but I made it to Tunica Airport and transportation was there (with only a slight hitch) to pick us up and I got to the Horseshoe in time to register for the jewelry event.

Woke up early Sunday, Aug 30, hugged the cat goodbye and headed out for Tunica. After the usual breakfast stop in Arkadelphia, Ar, we arrived around noon in T-town.
